IHHA BOARD OF DIRECTORS OFFICER'S ELECTION RESULTS
At the August 23, 2006 Board of
Directors meeting, the Illinois Harness Horsemen’s Association (IHHA) elected
the following directors to one year terms as officers of the association:

Duncan
Price Fills IHHA Board Vacancy
Duncan Price of Grant Park, IL has filled a
vacancy on the Illinois Harness Horsemen’s Association Board of Directors
caused when
Duncan Price was also on the ballot for the
annual election this August for five open seats on the IHHA Board of Directors.
On accepting the vacant seat he thus became ineligible as a candidate. The
previously printed, but un-mailed ballots, will show his name lined off and any
votes received by him will not be counted.

Hinsdale, IL...The Illinois Harness Horsemen's
Association (IHHA) announced that its 2006 Board of Director Elections will
take place at the Annual Meeting on August 19, 2006, at 12:00 noon at Balmoral
Park Race Track located at 26435 S. Dixie Highway in Crete, Illinois.
To be elected at the
annual meeting will be five (5) directors to serve terms of three (3) years
each. The following candidates filed petitions to be placed on the ballot
for election to the Board:

mailed to all IHHA members in good standing on July 20, 2006 through the
offices of Altschuler, Melvoin
and Glasser, LLP., Certified Public Accountants,
which have been retained as the official Election Supervisor in conjunction
with Article III of the IHHA By-Laws.

Balmoral Race Course
The annual meeting and election of directors of the
Saturday, August 19, 2006 at
Balmoral Race Track,
Balloting will be conducted from 12:00 noon to 12:30 p.m.
To be
elected at the annual meeting will be five (5) directors to serve terms of
three (3) years each.
Directors
currently on the Board who must seek re-election if they wish to remain on the
Board are:
To be
placed on the ballot for the election, candidates must file a notice of intent
to be a candidate for election with the signatures of a least twenty (20)
members in good standing. The notice of intent (Nominating Petition), must be
filed via registered mail or by delivery to the IHHA main office, and received
at the office of the Association (15 Spinning Wheel Road, Suite 432, Hinsdale,
IL 60521),beginning Saturday,June 10, 2006
through the close of business (5:00 p.m.), Friday, June 30, 2006.
Nominating petitions are available at the Association office. To request
a petition, write the Association at the above address or call (630) 323-0808
or (800) 572-0213 within
Absentee
ballots will be mailed to the membership on Thursday, July 20, 2006 with
the deadline for receipt of those ballots being Friday, August 18, 2006,
at 5:00 p.m. at the offices of Altschuler, Melvoin and Glasser, LLP., Certified
Public Accountants, Suite 111, 111 Deer Lake Road, Deerfield, IL 60015, which
has been retained as the official Election Supervisor in conjunction with
Article III of the IHHA By-Laws.
Only members
in good standing the last day of June, 2006 shall be entitled to vote.
All
questions concerning the election will be ruled on by the Election Supervisor.
