USTA REQUESTING INFORMATION ON SULKY FAILURES

To:       State Racing Commissions, Presiding Judges,

Race Track General Managers, Local Horseman’ Associations

From:  T.C. Lane

All,

The USTA has received several reports of sulkies failing during the past two weeks.  In order to fully evaluate the extent of these failures we are requesting information from anyone who is aware of such occurrences.

In order to collect the information, we have developed a SULKY FAILURE REPORTING FORM.  If you are unable to open the attachment accompanied with this memo, the form can be accessed by simply “logging-on” to the USTA website www.ustrotting.com, click on “Rulings/Regulatory” and then click again on the Sulky Failure Report

We urge anyone who has any first hand knowledge of any sulky failure that occurred during training, the post parade, before a race, during a race, or after a race to provide us with that information.

The report can be printed off the internet side.  The completed report can be either mailed to the USTA office or faxed.

(You may also view a list of approved sulky models from the “Ruling/Regulatory” site.  If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me at the USTA office at 1-877-800-8782 extension 3203.

Respectfully,

T.C. Lane

United States Trotting Association
