Harness Racing Schedule 2010

Thursday, September 24, 2009 the Illinois racing board announced the 2010 racing schedule. It is as follows:

Balmoral Park

144 programs, 122 dark host programs for a total of 266

Live racing on January 2nd and 3rd

January 27th through December 29th, racing 3 nights per week, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays

Dark on Super Bowl Sunday February 7th, Easte-April4th and Christmas

Maywood Park

97 programs, 2 dark host programs for a total of 99

Live racing on January 1st and

January 28th through December 31st, racing 2 nights per week on Thursdays and Fridays

Dark on Thanksgiving, November 25th and Christmas Eve.

Harness Racing Schedule 2009

At the dates hearing, the IHHA remained completely neutral and took no position in regards to which racetrack should or should not receive racing dates in 2009. The IHHA did request fewer racing days so simulcasting money could accumulate to fund our seriously indebted purse account. Funding our purse account will hopefully prevent purses from being slashed. A link to the actual testimony will be posted at this site when it becomes available.

Live Racing on January 3^rd and 4^th

January 5^th – January 27^th, Dark host period/No Live Racing

January 28^th – April 29^th, Racing 3 nights per week - Sundays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, Dark on Super Bowl Sunday, February 1^st and Easter, April 12^th

May 2^nd – October 31^st Racing 4 nights per week - Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays

November 1^st – December 30^{th ,}Racing three nights per week - Sundays, Wednesdays and Saturdays

96 Live Programs, 3 Dark Host Programs for a total of 99

Live Racing on January 1^st and 2^nd
